20 November 2017: Demonstrating Nautim’s ability to mobilise at short notice, the company has completed supervision of successful Dynamic Positioning (DP) trials for a vessel owned by a major offshore contractor.
The contract between Nautim and one of its long-term clients specified the coordination of all operations during the DP trials. As such, the 48-hour long trials called for effective communication and planning between the client’s numerous equipment suppliers and subcontractors, in addition to the vessel’s own technical personnel.
“With the trials scheduled to begin just three days after first contact, we had to get into gear very quickly,” explains Nautim Director Vincent de Jong. “This meant organising our own team and equipment, as well as communicating with all the various companies involved with the project.”
“The fact the we can deliver this rapid mobilisation time means that our client gets the fastest turnaround possible, enabling them to get moving with their next contract on schedule.”
